This gallery features a year of Gayle Force travels, with Captain Scott at the helm.
Comments and questions are always welcome.
Before setting out on her "maiden voyage" from south Florida to the South Pole in late-2018, Gayle Force spent a year and a half undergoing a strategic $2.5 million refit. Captain Scott worked closely with the boat's new owners to manage the project for the 96-foot, deep draft, steel Doggersbank expedition yacht, originally built by Bloemsma & Van Breemen in 2003. Their goal? To modernize the yacht's older technology and to increase the overall efficiency of an already beautiful boat in excellent condition. Projects included installing an enhanced stabilization system, updating the overall hydraulic system, and adding a new state-of-the-art navigation system, as well as modifying the crew space to accommodate a larger onboard staff.

Scott's career as a captain includes power and sailing vessels on voyages comprising the eastern and western coasts of the US mainland and the inter-Hawaiian Islands, along with numerous Gulf of Alaska crossings and extensive experience on the Puget Sound as well as travel through the Inside Passage and coastal British Columbia. Additional voyages range from Antarctica to the Galapagos Islands, including the western coasts of Mexico and South America, and many trips through the Panama Canal -- in addition to Bermuda, Bahamas, leeward and windward Caribbean, Costa Rica, Newfoundland, and offshore Nova Scotia.
And beyond... with more on the horizon.
